how to end emotional eating?
i was told that my emotional eating is my way to fill something (probably an emotion) missing in my life…if love is the emotion i am missing, how can i Stop Emotional Eating? b/c i cannot just create love. i cannot just make myself love or make somebody love me…and if you’ve ever been there, you know it’s not always as easy as just stopping the emotional eating…
or
is there a way i can live my life with the acceptance that love just does not exist for me? can i come to terms with that and end emotional eating that way? if so, how?
thank you!
Yes, you are right, you cannot just create love! In my dreams ! But what you CAN do is to try and and create occasions, events, activities where you could actually find this love. That love will not come to you – you just have to create the right conditions for that to happen.
As regards emotional eating try these when you have a strong urge to eat :-
Drink a glass of water – often your body is just saying that you are really thirsty , rather than hungry.
Try brushng your teeth – the taste of toothpaste tends to lessen your appetite.
Keep a sprig of mint handy and smell it – the mint taste or smell seems to reduce appetite as well.
Good luck !

If you feel your emotional eating is because of any pain, I would highly recommend Byron Katie’s "The Work".
Love and hugs.
