I need some binge eating support, where can I turn to?
I can’t stop binge eating! I hate it. I can easily consume 10 candybars with peanut butter in one sitting, or a whole box of cookies at once, or a whole pizza plus desert. It is so bad, I feel disgusted with myself and I need to quit.
I am a male, and have seen many sites with females talking about this type of emotional eating.
Any other males out there like me struggling?
All tips welcome, and I really would like some1 to talk to for support.
man do i know how crappy it feels
i gained about 50lbs in 2005 summer
thats bad
you really need support from your family on this
I come from a family that thinks the more you eat the healthier you’ll be >so it was tough for me
but I got through it I lost 60 lbs in 4months after I had realized what I was doing was horrible
You really need to get whoever buys the food in the house to stop buying so much of it
The thing that got me into binge eating in the first place was, quite ironically, I would tell myself to go on a diet that restricts certain foods, I would do quite well throughout the day but come dinner time I would tell myself "you did well, reward yourself" and as soon as I took the box of oreos I would then tell myself "fuck it, I’ll start tommorow" and eat everything in sight
diets are really Not cool at all
sounds weird but…
You should eat the foods you like but, what I did was, I wait until I am hungry, then eat a meal, then wait again, then eat again, when i finished a meal I completely tried as hard as I could to find something to do (in order to keep my mind off food)
I know how you feel
What are some good recipes to relief stress in someone’s body?
My friend and her body almost shut down . She was overworked and exercised alot….
Turkey is excellent. Any lean protein is good, actually. She should also load up on Legumes (beans, lentils) because they’re a good source of tryptophan as well. She needs to eat healthy, nutrition-dense foods. She might benefit from Ensure or another nutrition drink.
My Boyfriend works 3rd shift and never sleeps well, its effecting us, how do i help him sleep better?
My boyfriend is working 3rd shift and never sleeps good. We hardly get to spend any time together, and when we do have time, he just wants to rest. I cant blame him, he really cant sleep. But I want to figure something out to help him sleep better. So we can have more time and so he can start looking and feeling healthier. Any ideas on helping him? No pills please, lol.
Make sure the room is dark and a comfortable temperature. Also make sure it’s quiet. I know this maybe difficult but not impossible. When I worked 3rd shift I did these things and I also turned off the ringer for the phone and turned on the answering machine with the volume all the way down so I didn’t have to hear that. Also maybe make sure he’s not consuming a lot of caffeine before trying to sleep or stressing over little things. Was he having trouble sleeping if he worked a different shift? Might be something that needs checked out by his physician. Hope any or some of this helps.
Why can’t I stop eating so Much???!!!!?
I dont know why but i cant stop eating so much and getting extremely fat!!! I’m 15 yrs old and weigh 87.4 pounds which is alot and wish i could lose weight!!! but everytime i get hungry i give in to food…. also when im emotional i eat away my pain…. my mom says all the food i eat now will catch up to me…. i dont wanna be fat. 87.4 is a big number to me…. how can i lose my weight to be about 50 pounds or less??? i want to be skinny!!!
I’m 5′4 but i’ll start eating if all of you want me to…. but if i get fat ill be PISSED!!!!
87.4.. You’re kidding, right?
At your age (depending on your height), you should weigh 120-140 pounds. You are, in fact, WAY underweight, and you are not fat at all. If your mom is saying that all the food will catch up to you, well good! If you don’t wanna be fat, then gain some weight (I’d say to about 120 pounds), and then stay there. You ARE skinny, which isn’t a good thing. Skinny is just as bad a being obese. Get some help.
Are the Vitamins and Stress Relief Drinks really helpfull for your health?
For example, aren’t they cooked, so everything is dead in them, but this website is trying to say that they have the best vitamins and stress relief products, www.oxyfresh.com/vlad should I believe them?
I don’t know about the stress relief drinks ??? However, so long as the vitamins aren’t synthetic, you should be able to get product that is equally as good from your local chemist. By purchasing your vitamins in person, you can ask the Pharmacist for assistance in choosing the right one for you. You can also make sure that what you are buying is a quality product, i.e. avoid synthetic vitamins, they are too hard to digest.
I just think that as far as Stress Relief drinks go, sounds like an awful lot of bunk to me !! If you are stressed, fatigue exhaustion tend to set in. Sometimes, so too does depression, headaches, moodiness and a myriad of other symptoms. The simple solution?? Aside from the obvious of doing relaxing activities such as yoga, metitation, reading, exercise, you need to increase your intake of the B complex of vitamins. In particular B12 will alleviate all these symptoms. When we are in stress situations we need to increase our intake of the B vitamin complex.
You need to increase your intake of foods rich in this vitamin i.e.: yeast, liver, eggs, milk, cheese and fish, kidney and pork.
Recommended daily for adults is 2mcg. I suggest you go to the chemist and ask the pharmacist to recommend a good quality brand for you to buy.
Web sites such as these are simply cashing on people’s lack of knowledge regarding "Stress Relief Drinks" (more power to you for coming on line here and asking). All you have to do is to simply eat a wider variety of foods, specifically the ones I have mentioned above and try not to neglect any one food group. When whole groups of foods get neglected in our diets, that’s when we start to feel like we are coming apart at the seams !!
B12 vitamins will increase your energy levels, maintain a healthy nervous system, relieve moodiness and irritability, ease depression, fatigue and exhaustion and improve concentration, memory and balance. Sweating in the hands and head are also B12 deficiency symptoms.
Do you also have sore lips, mouth and tongue, cracked and splitting skin around your fingernails and grainy and sandy feeling eyes? if so, this is also a vitamin B deficiency, vitamin B2 (Riboflavin). This vitamin will be included in the Multi Bcomplex supplement that you buy. The recommended daily intake for this vitamin is 1.2 – 1.7mg.
Foods rich in B2 are milk, liver, kidney, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish, eggs, yoghurt, and beans.
If you are a vegetarian and have excluded eggs and dairy products from your diet, then you need B12 supplementation. If you keep regular "Happy Hours" and drink a lot, B12 is an important supplement for yolu. Heavy protein consumers also need extra amounts of this vitamin. B12 works best synergistically with all the other B vitamins, hence my advice to get yourself a B complex vitamin supplement.
If you choose to follow my advice you’ll be very pleased you did as you will get release from your symptoms with a day or so. In actual fact, you should feel some degree of almost immediate improvement.
PEACE & LIGHT
